Almost 4 years in to this hobby and it is finally time for me to updgrade to a reef ready tank, haha. The only tank I have had is a 105 gallon tank that was not drilled, and was therefore not your normal set up. It was overall a pretty successful experience but I am definitely ready to have the real deal. Here is a pic of the 105 tank...

Now on to the new exciting part! I have gotten engaged and bought a new house with my fiance, Kelly. Luckily she has fallen in love with this hobby almost as much as I have and she was all about upgrading to a larger tank. The house we purchased had the perfect empty wall in the main living area that needed to be filled with a tank. I started getting quotes for a new 8 foot tank, but then came across Marlon's (MYREEFCLUB0070) thread selling his monster 265gal set up. We went to look at it and decided that was the tank for us, especially after talking with Marlon and him agreeing to help me with the set up...his build experience is priceless!! Especially for me, coming from a system that didn't even have a sump. Now I want to go to the other extreme with a remote sump room.
So first step first, with some muscle help that Marlon lined up, we managed to get the 400lb tank and stand on my trailer and then in my garage, where it has lived for the past month. I finally had time to start working on trimming out the stand this weekend and managed to get that done so Kelly could do her magic with paint, wax, and stain. We're really happy with how it turned out...
