Turned on my lights this morning and saw my Brown Blotch snail lying on the sand, dead. I can't figure out why. It's been in the tank for about 10 months, seemingly healthy. I don't have any tank number readings yet b/c i choose to have my lfs do this, but i have no reason to suspect any drastic changes as everything else in the tank seems normal. The only possible predator is a Melanurus Wrasse, though it has never harmed my smaller snails and crabs. The tank is a 29G BioCube.
Maybe these snails have short life spans?
Maybe it was actually starving over the past 10 months?
Any ideas?
