Look at the Deluxe Aquarium Controller Board-

The 1/2 inch PVC foam core board costs $100 for a 4’x8’ sheet, at retail.

So, wholesale should go for around $40.
I’m guessing you can make 2x per sheet, so $20 for materials.

Wow, that’s a huge markup, even with labor!

I've noticed a lot of their in house stuff has a massive markup. The op is Marco not BRS but still. Those are not good looking rocks imo, especially for $8/lb. I filled a tank with real live rock from a reef in the south Pacific for less than that 15 years ago. You could make a great looking reef with those rocks but it's gonna look weird until it's filled in with coral.

BRS is only cheap for equipment they are partnered with to ensure you use their site.

They no longer provide unbiased information and they no longer provide affordable additives. It has simply become another online box store.

I prefer the shelf rock that is cut to same thickness, easier to stack. But yeah, rock isn’t cheap, even the ugly stuff, unless you are buying it second hand.
