Is this what i think it is?
Notice how clean/dead the rock is. I've bleached this system twice.

It's like ich. It just hangs out forever. I'm going through an outbreak right now which I assume is from my goby churning the sandbed.

maybe it won't spread if you pull that one rock out. Or, maybe you should try a different approach, like a foxface.

I did pull this rock and soak in hydrogen peroxide for and hour. It appeared to have no effect. I cut it out with a knife, but it's popping up everywhere. I'll break the tank down again if I have to, but does anything kill it where it won't come back?

I read that people have had success with foxface's and something else... Nudi's (?)

I hear an A Bomb works sometimes. But it is hit and miss. Hope you get it under control.

I have heard those are not reef safe, be careful:lol2:

Have you tried raising the Mg ? Kent Mg supposed to also have a algae additive that helps other algae in the process.

Kent tech M plus 400 or so?
(Ask Dave)

3% H2O works if you do all your rocks. I did a third of my ank at a time once a week.... Soaked it 10 minutes or so. Gone.

only dose h202 if you have a orp controller if not your hitting a ticking time bomb with a hammer

This is my old 58g with 20l refugium and frag tank- about 120g system. It became overrun with bryopsis, aiptasia, hydroids and eventually crashed. Last year I did the Tech M treatment and the bryopsis abated, but obviously it came back. I hadn't dosed anything in a while, but the ph rose and I started loosing coral, and inverts. So poured 2 cups of bleach for a day, drained cleaned and filled with tap water and bleached again. 2 days later I drained and filled with saltwater. That was Jan 6th. The tanks has cycled and already has a bumper crop of pods, a few fish , but still no inverts. I can remove the fish again or just the rock, but what will work? I soaked a rock in 3%H20 for an hour and the bryopsis appeared unchanged. Does it eventually wilt and die and not return after peroxide?

Tech M or now Continuum same product.

I'm in the process of raising my MG with Continuum right now to kill back my greenery.

Tech M worked for me when I had an outbreak. In my experience it didn't kill it completely so about a year later it started to creep back in but I went right back to the 2 week cycle of dosing with Tech M and it was going away.

That's my fear. It just comes back from spore or roots. I use HCL acid on the plastics, phs, and bare bottoms and it's already sprouting up off the pvc. If acid or base extremes don't kill it completely, won't it just keep coming back?
I broke down the system and bleached it heavily and 6 weeks later I've got bryopsis on several surfaces. I don't see how treating rock with 3%ho2 will do anything for the sand and plumbing, phs etc.

H2O will take a few days to notice....

I'll send you a link when I get a chance later....

I've removed the fish, and since I didn't actually remove and wash the sand in the 58g I'll use it to treat. I didn't even put all my rock back in because they are so big. It will take a lot- maybe 15g to cover these rocks.
