How do you get the tips of the bta to be bubbly? Mine is fat and heathy approximate 8 inches when expanded. Nitrates are 0. Phosphates are 0. Hebe the 6 T5 tell light

I just asked that question of a guy selling one last night. What he told me was that if it is in high flow it will sometimes not bubble up.

I personally think lighting has more to do with it than flow, but I don't think anyone knows for certain....

This is a million dollar question. The answer is no one really knows why. This is one of natures mysteries.

+1 Im of the same thought. When I went from a 150 to 250w halide (both with pheonix 14k) my rbta went from non bubbled to bubble tipped. Then it split and I put the clone under 120w led and it is staying bubbled. How often do you change bulbs?

Bulbs are less than a month old. They are zoo-med maybe I could get some ati bulbs

I've always wondered the same thing, they're called BTAs.. but they always seem to be stringed out.
