Sorry for the long link, but what do you guys think about this skimmer?

I believe the "secret" to Bubble Kings is not the skimmer, but the pump. Then again, if you go to eat at "McDernalds", I'm thinking their 'Big Muc" isn't the same as a "Big Mac".

I love how the skimmer is $5, but the shipping is $170.

Personally, I avoid knockoffs like the plague. I firmly believe you get what you pay for with technology in this hobby.

I dont know much about this or the one it is a knock off of but I really like all the colors on it.

The person listing this on eBay may not have anything to do with the manufacturer or the quality of the product he peddles. Sure. Me and my wife flies there pretty often for work. She's going to Hong Kong this weekend and I will tell her to track one down for me. I let you know if she finds it.

I went through the whole thread on RC and here it is in a nut shell. Its a decent skimmer if you buy a different pump. To get a model rated for 300g's is about $240 shipped to your door. The packaging sucks so dont be surprised if its broken. The consensus on RC is to spend $100 more and get an octopus model. Also just so everyone knows all skimmers made in China wil be going up around $25 a piece due to the american dollar losing value.

fyi: the reeflo skimmers are made in china. that's just my little fact of the day

Most skimmer bodies are about the same. It's the pump that makes the most difference.
