So just how good are these skimmers? I am in Florida and see one for sale that would be the right size for my system. It's a

I have a 150 display and medium bioload, which I would like to increase. I've been having some diatom/dino/ etc issues and seems that I need more consistent skim.
Im running a curve 7 right now which I know is a little weak. I could get a little bigger skimmer pretty cheaply or go with the bubble king. So are these spinners really worth 5-8x what other skimmers cost? I would hope to get the above for less than 500. Just don't know if it's worth it. Would i expect just no algae issues or super clear water, or what?
