Bubbles from new pump

My new submersible pump is spitting out spurts of bubbles into my nano? I’m assuming it’s from air getting into the pump but how, it’s submerged in water? Is this a problem?

How high is the water level in back of the back wall

About 3/4 full

Most likely it’s not the pump. Air is getting in to the tubing attached to the pump, make sure it’s not cracked/split and attached firmly.

I have found that when I upgraded the pump on my 10g nano, it pushes so much water that it creates bubbles. Particularly if the intake is blocked or limited.
