Bucket not opening

It’s early and I’m a little tries im a little embarrass for asking but does anyone know an easy way to get this bucket open? Seems like lid is just stuck. I’m either doing something wrong or just dumb… but here we are Sunday morning unable to get it open lol. Pressing the orange tab and turning doesn’t work. Is there anything I have to snap off?
