Been piecing together a build over time and finally added rock-water yesterday. Modified a 120 corner overflow to an Herbie. The tank is going to be a zeo system. Let me know what you think of the rock scape and plumbing. All build recommendations welcome. Lights and canopy will be installed tomorrow

Equipment:

Lighting: 6x54 ATI sunpower supplemented with 2x G3-Radion Pros

Flow: Neptune Wav Pump and MP10

Skimmer: SRO-3000 probably too much oversized
but I do plan to stock heavy.

Skimz: ZAR-127 automatic zeo reactor

Return: Jebao-DCP10000

Finished the lighting and canopy install and finished up the sump equipment. I used fully cured live rock and the tank tested perfectly so I added in a few fish and tester coral yesterday. Everything going great so far.

Livestock has been added along with ~ 10 tester corals that are all doing well! Been testing to dial in the dosers and I’m already pulling around 1-DKH per day.

This skimmer is a beast! Just past the diatom stage it appears and nutrients are already very low. Hoping to add some nice acros before long. LMK if you got the hookup!

Thank you! I hated when my past tanks were a rats nest of electrical so I have made it a point to plan out this part in advance. It took me a bit to get the skimmer dialed in but I do need to get a better picture of the tank.

It actually has about 10 fish and more coral now. Mostly transferred from my old system. It never was right again with coral after it crashed from my pet sitter overdosing nopox. It just seemed to keep having strange issues. This was the last tank when it was doing well.

Thinking about renting a PAR meter from BRS to dial in the lighting as I’m pretty sure this thing could be cooking the coral. No bleaching so far though. 0540FB96-87EB-440F-94BA-015336DD9473.jpeg

Lemopnpeel would nip SPS but wouldn’t do damage. I just didn’t get great polyp extension. He would eat any LPS except euphyllia though.

Well so far I have had exceptional luck with acros and terrible luck with fish. Despite QT I have introduced an unknown strain of parasite that has wreaked havoc on my tank. I really need a heavy fish load to go with zeo and although things seem to be settling down fish wise, I def can’t introduce any new fish at the moment. It’s really not practical for me to catch many of my fish now, so hopefully the system will stabilize and I can add more fish in time. Luckily this system is mostly about the coral to me, so I will just feed heavy regardless.

I decided to only purchase colorful corals this time after filling up with some boring acros in previous tanks. Right now this is the list for coral so will be exciting to watch it grow in.

Nice setup! Looking good man. That sump area makes mine look like crap, hahahahaha. My next tank I plane on doing something like this.

Tank is looking good so far! Do you think you'll need more height on your aquascape to fit all those corals? Might be a little crowded with how much empty space (water) the tank has right now
