with fluorescent bulbs you can tell by the ends turning a dark color when the bulb is not on... gray is when u need to change them black is when they are no good anymore... thats how i always judged it
Thanks so much. I just looked under the lights yesterday and noticed that the ends were much darker. Now I will have to get up, get dressed and bursh my teeth and hair and go to Exotic for new t5's Thanks, Bubba
It all depends on how much you run them. I try to change every 8-12 months. I noticed recently mine were at 11 months, when replaced I had a ton of extra shimmer in the tank.
