Bulb question

Which way is the little nipple inside the metal halide bulb supposed to face? Its a 400 watt 20k radium bulb. I am just wondering if it really matters which way the little nipple/bump inside the bulb faces.

The nipple needs to face in that direction, that the bulb is fully screwed in...

I think some bulbs have vent tubes that need to be faced up, never heard about the actual part inside the bulb though.

It doesn't matter. It's urban myth thàt the nipple orientation has any affect on the performance or colour of the bulb.

yes it does, I thought it would be a little bit more blue but its not. Im not dissapointed. I loved the way the XM looked.
