What do you use to cut threads on pcv pipe so that you can screw it into the bulkead connector?

Yup, just bring the bulkhead with you. You'll want a male threaded to a female slip connector. Make sure the threads fit in the bulkhead and get the right size slip connection for your standpipe.

there is no method to cut threads on pvc pipe, you must use adapters.

I beg to differ.... http://www.jktool.com/jk905.htm">http://www.jktool.com/jk905.htm</a>

but I believe a slip/thread adapter may be a little cheaper..

I think he has a threaded bulkhead and was looking to put threads on a piece of PVC. However I like using slip bulkheads for the standpipe side of overflow drains. Makes it much easier to get the standpipe out if it gets clogged or for general maintenance.

You can buy pvc pipe that is already threaded. It is usually sched 80. The Lowes by me has it in several different lengths and diameters.
