Bulkhead Issue

So I'm plumbing the new tank and it has one inch drains and returns. I've got everything pieced together, but the one inch pipe won't fit into one of the drain bulkheads. It's like a billometer to small!

Manufacturing error?

either take a dremal tool and open the hole or sand the threads down or get a shoe horn.

Try sanding down the edge of the pipe a billometer.

yeah just grab some 80 grit sand paper and sand down the pipe a bit, then just use heavy duty PVC glue and you will be fine.

When you determine that it will in fact fit, prime the pipe, bulkhead, pipe again and the the bulkhead again. The primer will slightly melt the surfaces so they should be a bit looser than before the primer.

Is this the drain pipe from the inside of the overflow into the bulkhead? If so I wouldn't glue it, you may want/need to remove it at some point.
