I am getting ready to purchase some bulkheads and other
supplies to get ready to plumb a 190 Gal Tank to the basement.
What are the recommendations for bulkheads for the tank? ABS
or Schedule 80? Also, would I be able to use common pvc pipe
from the local hardware store with these bulkheads or would special
fittings be required to convert over to the common PVC?

Let's hear it, I know stupid questions but I want to make sure as
I definitely do not want water hitting the floor due to bulkhead/plumbing
problems.

either bulkhead will do, I always use the chaeper ones "there black, the heavier duty ones are usually gray. Yes common pvc will work in either bulkhead, its best to use flex pvc, but you can use regular hard pvc. Check this site out for your plumbing needs

Thanks Chris, I will probably go with ever which one I find first I suppose,
though the going with the heavier duty ones would probably result in my
being more at ease concerning the possibility of a flood. :) My main
concern was the ability to use standard pvc plumbing. So, all systems
go for me.

Have a great day.

Greg
