Question on calc reactor

I am operating a BRS dual reactor on my 150g controlled via APEX, and for first few weeks it seemed stable

PH in tank went from 8.09 to 8.19 each day
PH in CA reactor went from 6.43 to 6.45 each day

I have not added or changed anything but over last 3 days the PH in the tank has been dropping

The tank is now reading between 7.8 and 7.9 each day - slowly dropping each day
the PH in the CA reactor is staying in the same range 6.43 to 6.45

My ORP over this period, and frankly always stays around 335

What would cause the tank PH to start dropping
I have not done water change in some time, mainly as my ORP stays steady and does not drop off I have seen no reason to do water changes and the tank appears healthy and growing

A BRS brand calcium reactor? Or is it their media reactor (the converted RO cannisters)?

The reactor uses co2 to dissolve the reactor media. If co2 gets into your system it will cause the ph to drop. Thus the dual chamber reactors. The 2nd gives the ph a chance to climb back into acceptable ranges before the effluent goes into your main system.
There is a possibility that you're just letting too much co2 into the system.
Are you using a bubble counter? Try dialing the level back a bit i think.

So long, and thanks for all the fish.

Combination of cal reactor + kalwasser dosing will help more stable ph
