Are CA reactors sized (for tank volume) solely on how much media they hold?

I have a reactor of unknown make (2 chambers, I can post the diameter/length if needed) and a Mag 2 recirc pump for the main chamber. I have no idea what its tank size rating would be. Just wondering if I should keep it or sell it and upgrade.

Any info is appreciated.

I don't know how they rate it either, but from what I've seen, you can kinda rate the reactor based on the amount of media it holds. Like my Geo 618 holds about 12lb of media and it is rated for a 350g tank size. I've seem many other reactors out there that hold the same about of media claiming to be rated for the same tank size. If you could get a picture of it then some of us may be able to ID it for ya. If its a good brand then you don't wanna toss it.

I know it's not a "good" brand, but it works. I had to fix a couple of leaks after I got it.

It could be a good DIY, actually.

No, but I'll check the volume of the cylinders and try to compare it to something with a listed capacity.
