44 gallon corner reef tank
fowlr tank been up and running for atleast three years with no problems
just added 250 mh lighting
just added several pieces of lr from mwitten's tank teardown
with zenyas and zoas.the first night the zenyas came out and looked normal
and the zoas stared opening up,but the next day the zenyas started shrinking up and the zoas started looking not soo good either, tested water and found 600 mg of calcium and have never added any kind of calcium supplement to tank, performed 5 gallon water change and that lower to 540 mg,performed second 5 gallon water change next day and changed calcium to about 480 mg,performed third 5 gallon water change and it lowered calcium to 460,anyone know why calcium level is so high, and could this be the cause of the zenyas and zoas dying off, what do i need to do to get this under control?thanks in advance for any help!

thanks,
robby erwin

my salinity level is at 1.021 could that be the problem with the zoas and zenya's.all the other level are perfect,i took a water sample over the the nemo fish store in lilburn yesterday and they said all the levels were perfect also, could the problem be from moving the live rock from tank to tank?
thanks,

As long as you acclimated the rock good. If you just thru it in there you may have some die off since his tank was probably 1.025.
