Calcium reactor/and co2 question.

How long does a 5 lb c02 tank stay filled on calcium reactor for 220 gallon system? im starting my tank with dead rock and going to let it cycle for a month or 2 before adding anything. At what point if I decide to try a reactor would I add one? Only after corals?

A 20lb lasts just over a year on my average stocked 210 display. I go through ~16 lbs of ARM a year too.

Hmmm, that must mean my tank is making 16lbs of coral per year... That seems like a lot...

Why do people run kalk stirrers with calcium reactors.

Cause a CA reactor lowers ph. and the kalk of sets that.

Yep the CO2 is used to lower the pH of the CA reactor effluent so it dissolves the media.
