i am about to embarke on making my own calcium reactor but i have a question. i was looking at the one DJ88's (http://www.melevsreef.com/dj88.html">http://www.melevsreef.com/dj88.html</a>) and he does not have a bubble counter.

is a bubble counter necessary???

You can just put one on your regulator.

once i get my tank stocked and my calc demand is higher i'll build one just like the one you posted in the link. Looks like a great diy calc reactor. The regulator and CO2 bottle cost more than the reactor.

I've been using on like that for 3-4 years, works great.

Yeah you only need 1 bubble counter and it's best to have it on the regulator...like the pic you posted.

the blue line
the purple line

where do these lines go?

and how did you get the pH probe to stay in that slot?

will i EVER change the media and if so where can i get a top that i can put on and take off like the ones you buy in the store? my reactor is square
