I'm not a fan of calerpa, I can easily take over and get's real messy real quick. Once you introduce it to your system, it's hard to eradicate.


Cheato is a much better option.

+1 That has always been my understanding as well! I keep calupra under constant light and have never had a problem with it going into a sexual phase.

power seems to go out once a month

how long are you without power? You can hook up a small ups to keep the fuge light on and a pump, I may have one of those too but I have to test it first, I had some not working right with powerheads something about the type of current they put out

ive lived here 14 yrs and its always done this.

A small ups will hold a small light and a pump for about one hour, if you go with just a led lamp probably a day

Get a small battery operated air pump. That and an airstone and everything will be perfectly fine for a few hours
