Ok so here's the video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7BdqxW4ka0">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7BdqxW4ka0</a>:confused2:
Is this real?
Can you do this without harming the anemone?!?

Yes you can, but it puts a lot of unneeded stress on the animal. Since your tank and your anemone are both still new, it would definitely not be recommended. It's a much better idea to just feed it plenty and make sure it's healthy. It will split on its own eventually.

yeap you can...but you need to know what your doing... i lost 3 before i got it right.

I wasn't going to, I was just wondering if it could actualy be done. It seems so wierd that you can cut somthing in half and have it grow back to normal!

same with sea stars, you can cut those into pieces and they will go back from what i've read

I had an anemone that had its foot wedged on two rocks -- there was a rock fall involving one of the rocks, and one half went with one rock and one half went with the other rock. I now have two anemones.

So that was an "accidental frag". It's a GBTA that I got as a WBTA (white / bleached) -- it's been months, and the most color I see on them is a faint lime green, but it happily eats and hangs out looking for more.
