Chalice killed Turbo Snail?

I got a little piece of a chalice from Derek yesterday, and when I got home I glued it to a frag plug before putting it in the tank. This morning just below my frag rack there is one of my big mexican turbos flipped on his back and tucked back in his shell. The plug is empty, and I can see little bits of the chalice around the edge of the flap to the turbo's shell. He hasn't moved locations in a few hours but I can see him kind of moving around. I tried to reach in there and pull the chalice out but he goes back into his shell every time. Anything I can do besides watch him squirm?

haha, well I got 2 of em, so maybe the second one will last. It's grey with green eyes and is very brittle, so it would have been like a slimy jigsaw trying to find all the chalice pieces.
