I have the two part B-ionic automatic doser
but it is getting a bit expensive to dose my 150 gal year round
is there a cheaper way to go
I was looking at the Dowflake two part mix
is this reef safe, I keep finding old articles on the web about this Dowflake
is there a safe home made mix out there to put in my doser

Thanks
Rich Martin

DOW uses high levels of Bromide in the Cal now.. Not safe to use long term.. Look into BulkReefSupply.com

You can buy a kit that does about 8 gallons of Cal, 8 of Alk and a few gallons of Mag. for about $90 after shipping..

The cheapest long-term solution is a calcium reactor. There were a couple of good deals in the FS section on used reactors.

+1

A 150 gallon system can justify a CA reactor. Much easier to maintain proper Alk and CA too.
