Guys, I have an EcoPlus 1/10th HP chiller that I've been running for about 6 months now. All this time I've been using the internal temp control to run the chiller.

My controller (old reef keeper 2) has an option for me to control the chiller as well. So I was thinking why not let the controller do it instead of the internal temp control on the chiller. Now if I do this, It will shut power off completely to the chiller once the desire temp. has been reached. Is this ok for the chiller or will it harm the chiller in any way?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hoang

It won't harm the chiller. As long as both temps are in-sync than I don't foresee a problem.
