1/2HP for 385$?

Any thoughts?

Looks like they use an aluminum alloy for the heat exhange coils. Most of the other manufactures claim theirs are titanium. Not sure how much of a difference this would make.

I sent him a question, asking about the saltwater/aluminum problem, his response was"

"It is based under titanium, that why it is marine grade"

Can someone translate that for me?

Translation= BS!

The coils need to be titanium. This unit looks like a window a/c unit, painted black, with an aluminum coil welded in. Not worth it IMO.

I went through all the feedback and thats almost word for word what one of the negative feedbacks was...

It what I thought also.. A modded AC unit that had a nice coat of spray paint on it..

That's awesome!

That's almost exactly what I'm going to do for a chiller... with one exception... I will be using a titanium coil...
