Hello! Just restarted my 55 gallon corner saltwater aquarium. It is a fish only setup for right now. Have 2 damsels (domino + chromis) in there. The domino is doing great but I am concerned about the fact that the Chromis is not feeding on tiny pellets and/or omega flakes. It keeps biting on the food energetically and is very active during the feeding but keeps spitting the food out. Other than the eating issue, the fish is very active and appears healthy. It has been about 6 days since I added this chromis to the tank and I don't believe it has consumed/retained any food. Any food suggestions that I can try to get this fish to actually eat without spitting it out? Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Maybe try a meaty food such as mysis shrimp , also a garlic oil additive could stimulate some reaction.
Good luck .

+1 on garlic... mine love mysis... however if you feed rods or Larry's it will have a variety that will satisfy all your fish needs

Thank you both for your guidance. I will try out the suggestions. Thanks again!

Head over to The Fish Store and pick up a bag of LRS Reef Frenzy. Break off about a dime size. That it or put it in frozen. You can thank me later! No fish can refuse the Reef Frenzy. Try it, you'll see. Been very well known to feed picky or none eating fish.

+1 on the LRS. My fish go crazy when it hits the water. It's also very effective at bringing out new additions to the tank that hide in the rock.

Thanks guys! I'll add the reef frenzy to their menu this weekend!
