Clam Question

ive never kept clams before entertaining the idea of getting one in the future would a 6 bulb nova extreme fixture be enough light? and also how long does one generally wait before adding a clam into your aquarium?

It would depend on the depth of the tank and as far as how long to wait most fallow the 6 months to a year rule of thumb
