My Clark clown temp living in a 10g nano has made it a habit of sleeping laying down in a pocket of rocks next to some zoa's. Just a pep shrimp and some hermit crabs in there so she seems to be ok as they haven't bothered her. And just like my girl, i have seen her wake up when I come and and just turn around and go back to sleep. Fish are funny creatures.

Lol clowns are funny aren't they? My clown will probably come back as a cowfish because he's such a lil hog.

Well which is he a cow or a hog???? :lol2:

my clown would lay sideways on my zoas at night, but i think my clown has brain damage he is strange 8)

Just after reading the OP I did a little tank maintenance. While working away above the tank I noticed one of my clowns hovering right below my face. She kept poking her nose out of the water almost as if she was saying "Hey, what are you doing? Can I help?" LOL

or she was saying... "got food?". I know my one maroon does the same thing but I think she's saying "go ahead, put your finger in the tank...."
