Found fresh clown eggs from my 3 yr old Clarkie. They where placed on the glass so fast too. Gave them some food walk down to the flooded houses for a look( 10min.) Came back to a giant patch on the glass. Maybe 2 hundred is my guess. Never had a mate for it. I was wondering if they where even fertile with out a mate. She or it a day later ate them of the glass. What love. First batch of eggs I have seen in my tank.

I did get a cell phone pic. Not sure how to post it yet.

I don't have any snails but it could be somthing else. The clown was right next to the spot so I assumed. I think they can be a sexual if required. Mine has been alone for three yrs. The eggs look like little orange sacks stuck to the glass with a white thing black dots in the sacks. Later on the clown started mouthing them off. I did see the clown defend the eggs from the pigmy angle and dragonets.

Orange are likely clown eggs but I've never heard of one laying eggs without a mate.

Hopefully others will chime in here...

Maybe it's time to get her a boyfriend ;)

Thanks for your input. I am wondering how this has come about too.

Anyone else have some light to shine for me?
