Cleaning rock

So we are upgrading back to a larger coral tank. We broke ours down a couple years ago to move. We saved our rock from the old tank. We are in the process of cleaning it and hopefully cycling before going in the new tank. We used vinegar to clean the rock. After a couple days in its bath, my wife tells me I used vinegar with lemon scent. Am I screwed now?

Is it an additive that makes it lemon scented? If so I wouldn't use them personally

Just wash them off and put them in the sun to dry. You'll be fine

For Lemon scent they probably used lemon oil or lemonene extract from the oil.

Place the rock in fresh water & run activated carbon. GAC extracts organics very well. Run it until you can’t smell lemon on the rocks.

Thanks guys. I did let them dry out and then soaked them again. I cant smell any of the lemon scent. I'll run some carbon for a bit (thanks Bill).
