I caught this little s**t in the act. Clown gobies will irritate SPS/LPS by dancing on them to try and make the coral secrete slime. They then consume the slime. They also will do this to expose the skeleton of the coral, which is how they safely attach their eggs in the wild. It is instinctual and these little turds will kill your frags if you aren’t careful. In the video you can see my clown goby dancing on a frag of pavona. It nips the slime and dances on the frag. Let this be a warning to anyone lured into buying these fish. They are cute, but can be devastating to your stony corals.
