While you can never predict how the personality of your Trigger will develop, there is a better chance of producing a calmer fish by introducing it to your tank at a younger age, keeping it with other placid fish and not feeding it live food. Ideally, this fish should be fed a variety of high quality foods including pellets and frozen foods.

Any truth in this??

Considering getting one. Current tank inhabitants are a Dragon Wrasse and two occillaris clowns. For both the compatibility charts states with caution. Also lots of online sources are claiming the same as above.

Anyone with any information from own experiences??

No experience, but the first question would be how big is your tank? Based on your current inhabitants, it could be quite small which would almost certainly end badly. If you have a much larger tank (say 120 at the smallest) with a lot of rock structures for hiding spots, it could probably be done.

I have a clown trigger got him at about 2 inches he's about 6-7 inches now and I keep him with a puffer and yellow tang he is as he gets bigger he's getting more aggressive he nips at tails ( fingers/arms ) be carefull and I keep them in a 240 gallon with about 200+ pounds live rock in the dt they grow fast

No, you cant take 50 million years of evolutionary behaviuor out of a fish. They get mean. And always will.

4foot long 55 gallon tank

Agreed. That's WAY small. Even though there is good length to it, there's little depth and an agressive fish that will grow will be an issue in that tank. Just my opinion...
