Well im new..thought i would tell everyone hey....from the Northeast Georgia Mtns....Ok.....have a nano cube. put a clown in there for christmas. Was really bright orange...Now he is turning black....His white is nice and bright still and eating fine....Can anyone tell me why he is turning black?

its normal for the black lines to get thicker and darker if thats what your talking about just means he/she is maturing

the orange on the fish is turning black..not bright anymore..will the orange come back out.....dont even look like a clown now...LOL....

Can you snap a picture for us? Maybe it is a True Perc maturing and becoming more black...

there is nothing in the tank with it.....but some tree coral.....and hi fin bennie.....few snails and few crabs...that is it...

Take another picture after the glass is clear. The darkening might be perfectly natural. I've had two clowns since summer and one of them is beginning to darken and my clowns are completely healthy.

yea zena tree....yea..the clown was very young in mid of december..all it good eats fine....and don't usually go in the zena ...or even around it. the white strip is true white..no colorazation..the local fish store got it from a local breeder...might not have an idea what he is..might be a mix of alot of things.......i would say he isn't to old....also the hi fin is doing great also.....just thought he would be really bright orange...so my little son could watch him....im tring to find a deal in a 55 to 90 gal tank to start setting up already have sump and everything ready...just need to find a tank....u know fireman don't make much money...LOL......this tank has been up and running august....

yea seems happy....but really hasn't made it a home yet.....don't really know what to put....thought about some frog span...or somthing..just being careful....told myself if i could keep this one from crashing a year.....i would be doing good......im a clean freak though..didn't even want to show yall the pic ....because of the alge..LOL...

love clowns...that is my favorite..fish....then a yellow tang.......but looking for softies now......to add alittle color...had a pulsatin zena..put a camel shrimp in there and noticed it was looking bad..came home from work and the whole thing was gone.....guess the shrimp ate it...LOL...

you have a female false perc nothing wrong with it the female is just darker chances are you bought the fish when it was juvi and had no sex .....clowns left alone in a tank for a while will become female ...but like the rock work

yea buddy has a in wall 360......a heck of a setup...i will try and get some pics..he is on reef sancuary.......he gave it to me....about 10 min drive....it was doing good...for about a week...pulsesating nice....very pretty....then came home..half was gone....then had to work the next day on ambulance then came home..all was left was ther rock.....
