Clowns not hosting?

So some quick background...

Had a nice brain coral, clowns tried to host and killed it.
Had a frogspawn, clowns tried to host and killed it.

Now i have a huge rock of metallic GSP in which they are trying to host, and I'd rather it not die. So, i bought them a nice GBTA (which loves my tank, thanks Nemo Fish), but they haven't even looked at it over the last two weeks. What can I do to make my new nem more attractive? Get in the gym? Maybe a haircut? Spray tan? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

From everything I have read the answer is........They will or they wont. Not much you can do to make them. But, two weeks isn't a long time. It took my clowns at least that or maybe more before they started to pay attention to my nems. Once they found one, the took turns in all three. LOL

My tank has 3btas in it with 3 clowns.

One clown's host is a bta

One clown's host is a Duncan coral

The last clown would only allow Jesse's clam to be its host. When I gave the clam back to Jesse after he got the new tank set back up, the clown has refused to take a new host. I've tried other clams, corals, and nems.... Nothing. So, I am determined to buy that clam when jesse is ready to sell....

My daughter has several clowns in her tank and they prefer an elegance to a RBTA. They went to the RBTA for a sort period after it was introduced but then returned to the elegance. In my tank, i have 5 designer clowns that wont go near an anemone and I have a green carpet, a blue carpet and a GBTA. The pair of skunks host in th GBTA but not the carpets. As mentioned above - it varies with the clowns. A few years ago I had a pair of saddlebacks who went from a blue carpet, to a GBTA and two RBTAs. If another clown showed interest - they would move over into that anemone. Otherwise, they would move from anemone to anemone

Thanks for all the info, everyone. Looks like I'll just have to wait it out. Worst case scenario, I have an awesome looking nem in my tank, so all is not lost.

You are going to love that nem. They deffinately grow on you.
