Comet fish feeding inquiry

Does anyone have any experience with marine Bettas? I purchase one yesterday and tried feeding him krill today but it was a failed attempt. I also have mysis but I don’t want to put such a large amount of food into the tank for one fish. Should I wait a few more days and try the mysis?

They are notorious for not eating right away. Live saltwater feeder shrimp can be used to get them going. What was it eating at the store?

Sad to say I didn’t ask what they fed their fish

For future reference it is always a good idea to not only ask, but have them feed the fish in front of you so you can see it eat. Unless you buy online, then you just have to buy from reputable sources known for good quality

Everyone makes them, all you can do is learn from them the . I learned the importance of QT when I wiped out my large fish only thanks to velvet outbreak. That one hurt....

Good luck on that! I've always liked the betas... really cool looking fish. Unfortunately I've nothing relevant to offer for advice
