Connecting RO/DI Solenoid Valve

Didn't know to get the shut off solenoid when I bought my RO/DI. Yesterday I got one but there are no directions with it. I can blow through one of the ports but not the other. Which is the water feed port and which is the waste line port? Does it matter a flow direction once the correct ports are identified?

It's a Spectrapure part - one would have thought they'd have included some stinkin' instructions.
