It's not quiet a build thread yet but construction has started. The frame has been built. I need to paint and seal everything, then fit it out and bring it up stairs. Im just glad things have started.

Nice! You have enough artillery to keep building! Seems like you didn't went to the pocket screws on your stand, I started to believe that many people like them.

With all of those tools and space in the house I probably would have built a plywood tank! I have seen the build threads and they seem to be interesting.

more progress

Good deal, I love the look of the cubes! You can do some cool aquascaping with them.

Keep the pictures coming. :D

pictures to continue, im heading out to New York for a few days so progress will halt until the weekend. I did get my 45# dry rock into a tub with 20# of live rock so that process has started. Picked up some ball valves, unions, elbows, couplers etc etc so all coming together.

test fit before I head out of town. What do you guys think? The wife isn't convinced she likes it there but it's where my 29fw was and I liked it there.

^^^ Agreed...

On a side note, I would also look at giving the kids away. They are much more expensive in the long run than a tank! If anyone is looking for one, I will be posting my 11 year old up in the FS thread but I will also take coral frags for him!

I ran this by the wife and I dont think she is 100% on board :)

more pics to come, tank got moved by corporate :). Installed Power outlet today, stand has been painted and tank cleaned. Father in law coming over in the morning (plumber) to install utility sink and help with tank plumbing. Time is limited so we shall see how much we get done.

so here is the new location, right next to my seat! The stand is pretty basic compared to some of the ones I have seen on here but me and the wifey like it.

Kids are one of the few hobbies that are more of a money drain than reef keeping.
