in case i decide to go acrylic when i start back up, i still have my stand canopy which i had built, what would i need to do to make the stand ready to support an acrylic tank? i'm not sure which way i want to go or even just buy different stuff and sell mine. its a 125 stand if that matters
thanks

it shouldn't be any different at all.

the only difference I can think of is if you had a smaller glass tank that actually sat on a rim that went around the bottom.

if your acrylic tank is flat on the bottom you'll just need a well cut ply sheet and you'll be good to go... unless its a big tank.. in which case supports would be in order. ... glass or acrylic.

if the stand has a flat top that is solid.. i don't see why it wouldn't work

I'd make sure the top was solid... and at that size... braced, so it didn't fall through when things got sloppy wet. If it is a new system and you have doubts it may be worth rebuilding a stand for peace of mind.
