Over the last two years I've struggled to maintain my water temperature below 82 degrees F.
This is a reef tank and I am now installing a chiller. I now believe this is necessary based on the tank's design. Anybody considering purchasing one of these should include a chiller as part of their initial setup.

I one on mine...and it works great. Keeps it at a steady 78 degrees. Now if I can get this skimmer issue solved I will be okay.

A chiller is a must on that tank. The factory skimmer is crap, I put a deltec in mine and worked awesome!

I have the same tank, here in Woodstock, GA.
I run the rear cooling fans, 24x7.
I added two extra fans to the sides and wired them to the same circuit as the rear fans so that they too run 24x7.

That combo has kept my temps below 80 without the expense of a chiller.

I replaced the factory skimmer with the Tunze 9002 and still not happy with it's performance. I think it's underpowered for the 250.
