After 4 peppermints and now a firefish, she's in the sump. Now to figure out what to do with her. She's a beautiful specimen but apparently a little aggressive.

They can be a bit ornery, but I keep mine in the display. I found regular direct feedings make them a better tankmate. I use a bamboo skewer and the shrimp takes whatever is on the end. Banishing a shrimp to the sump is likely a death sentence. If you're determined to get it out of the display, rehome the shrimp instead.

Definitely better to rehome, but banishing to the sump shouldn't be a death sentence. Assuming the shrimp isn't being put in an area with other equipment, it should be ok. If there's a refugium, it should be fine. I keep a bunch of inhabitants in my fuge.

I have had mine for about 6 yrs now. I was afraid when I added 4pepermints, 2 cleaners, and a fire shrimp. All has been good for about 8 months. A bigger tank does help, along with target feeding.

Never intended on it being a permanent move, although it has gravel, macro and a couple rocks with led lighting. Put him back in the tank tonight, going to try the spot feeding. Want to keep him, but not if she keeps this up.

Ok, she's going back to my LFS. Put her back in the main tank. Dropped pellets for her which she ate. Chased my other shrimp and fish the remainder of the day. After making her way into the den of my remaining firefish gobi I netted her back up.
