Can someone recommend a REALLY good coral book. One along the lines of The Conscientious Marine Aquarist. I really need a good one.

Two that I have and use, or at least use them because I have them:

is good for identification taxonomic requirements.

is a good read!

Have had both for over ten years and still enjoy reading them.

Thanks. Which one of these will tell me the lighting and nutrients each one will need. I just lost a colony of acans and I'm not sure why.

I'm a fan of Julian Sprung's Corals: A Quick Reference Guide.

When I first started keeping corals, I'd actually bring the book shopping with me so I could look up what I was considering buying. One one page, I'd get the scientific name, common names, where it's from, what light requirements, placement and feeding as well as some text about each colony. I found it to be really helpful.

I used to keep a copy in the shop too, and referred to it often while helping customers.
