Im trying to figure out how to hook up my uv. Im nervous when it comes to that kind of stuff. My pump for the UV is a 900 maxi. I just cant figure this plumbing thing out..........help

I was also paranoid about my UV since it was (at the time) the only thing I had outside the sump. I just made sure to add a couple of cable ties after first attaching the hoses to input and output as tightly as possible. Never had a drop of water leak out of it.

Do any of yall remember my innsodent with the uv....make sure you dont turn it on with the bulb out unless you want to take about 3 days off of work...severly burned my eyes and couldn't even see the first day...should have read the instructions....i knew there was a reason they put the instructions in there and it is not for shipping reasons...Chris

Wow -- thanks for posting that -- this a pretty dangerous hobby -- so far on this one local website we have had fingers cut off, people blinded, and then there are palytoxins from zoanthids and palythoa, stung from lionfish, house fires started, and getting bitten by clownfish.

Anything I forgot? This should be a topic in itself --what did you suffer/sacrifice for this hobby, besides your wallet?
