Coraline algae

Question for everyone, when adding coraline algae do I just toss it in or glue some? Please let me know, thanks.

I just tossed mine in. Don’t see any growth of it yet but think I’ve read in other threads it can take a while for it to take hold and start growing

Just toss it in. You can turn off flow and pour it over the rocks to give it a chance to stay put.

If you glue it to a plastic pump, I bet it starts growing immediately just to clog it up quicker.

Seriously, I've always noticed it growing on plastic first.

Darn, I just tossed mine in, don’t think I turned anything off. I saw a big piece of the plating coralline Steve gave me floating around today though so it’s still in there

Don't worry, I did the same thing before Bobby said anything! But luckily a few pieces landed on the rocks!

I crushed some and poured it over the rocks like Bobby said and I had a few big pieces that I glued to my overflow and back glass.... will see how well they do lol
