I have broken down a 75 gallon set-up that I've had for the last few years because it was a source of constant problems. I've been through nitrate problems, protein skimmer malfunctions, sump problems, and mysterious die-offs. Long story short, I dislike the sump-type filter on the tank, though there is really nothing wrong with it. I just feel snake-bitten by the entire system. I am starting over from scratch with a different bow-front tank. Here are my questions.

1) What is the going rate for an Arctic brand tank chiller that has capability up to 125 gallons?
2) What is the going rate for a sump type filter that can also handle this capacity? It has a protein skimmer and a central compartment that can be filled with bio-balls or turned into a refugium.

I'm not really willing to give up the tank, stand, or lighting. I want to save those for a rainy day in a year or two when I have more time. However, I know I hate this filtration system and I want to start over in that department.

Sumps go for pennies on the dollar after they are used. Much the same for any used equipment in this hobby. It really depends on if it's current configuration will fit somebody's need. It if has to be modified, the price goes down. I personally have never paid more than $50 for a sump and I've gotten some good ones with little modifications necessary.

As for the chiller....are you certain of the brand? A quick Google search didn't turn up any chillers by that name other than a JBJ Artica chiller. Selling points on chillers are how it is configured and it's age. If it's old and uses R22 refrigerant.....it'll be a hard sell. If it's newer and configured so that's it's easy to use, you could see as high as a 50% return on the original price.

Pictures would be helpful, more descriptions or actual product links are helpful.

If you where running bio balls, there is part of your problem, in my opinion. I had nitrate issues when I ran them as well. When I went to "live" rock and macro algea, it quicly took care of Nitrate. I would recommend you convert to a refugium from wet dry. Also I believe in to much skimmer. +1 on picts would help.
