CPR Back Pack Refugium

My daughter bought a 30 cube with a cpr refugium. (see link) It came with a fountain type submersible pump. They set it up today at his house but they said the skimmer is not producing any bubbles at all. Is it because of a lack of pump? Is there a special pump needed??

Anyone who has one of these, info would b very appreciated.

is it an air pump if it is it needs a air stone ....or the pump has a venturi

there is a hose with a air vavle and a fitting that goes in the maxi-jet i have it here it slips in so it pushes air into the skimmer first

I use a CPR but am using a MJ 1200 as the drive pump. I looked it up on there website how to do the mods for it. Basically drilling a hole in the inlet and super glueing an air barb in it. It took me a little while but I got it figured out, just takes some playin with.

Make sure you are using a auto top-off with that system. If you don't, it takes constant adjusting to keep it skimming.
