M ms_ k Member Market Messages 170 Reaction score 2 Sep 21, 2005 #5 Sometimes crabs will kill snails to acquire new shells to live in. If your crab did kill the snail, that may be the reason. Do you have spare shells for the crab (not that it matters...the crab might still kill the snail)?
