ok so i have one red scarlet in my tank and for a couple of days i didnt see him and then one day i see an arm of his just laying in the sand so i thought that the clean up crew took him out then out of nowere he showed up again well i guess what i am asking is do they shed like that i mean he has two arm on bouth sides and his pinchers so i dont think he lost them in a fight????????

Yes they will shed like that, I see my blue leg hermits legs floating around my tank all the time.
