Well I have been noticing a new crab in my tank but , never got to see it completely until tonight once the lights went out. I was unable to get pictures of it but I will attempt to describe it.
It is roughly the size of a emerald crab but the body is very much shaped like the ghost crabs you see on the beach. It is orange and white and is covered in what I'd call fine hairs. Its claws are definitely sharper than the emeralds also. I am still in the research stage with this guy and was just wondering if anybody had some input. I've heard of crabs similar to this as being bad, I just can't find the info at the moment and I wan to verify b4 I pull him out. As of today I can not find anything bad from it being in the tank.

Thanks
Chris

I seem to remember that any "hairy" crab is bad news. I'd DEFINITELY banish him to the sump until you can make a positive ID. He could live there happily... no need to kill him.

GREAT! Well I guess Ill fish him out tonight if he comes out again. My problem is I have a just a 29 gal BioCube so I dont have a sump that is large enough to hold him and then beable to retreive him later. I try to get him and hold him in a container till the weekend or something like that. But thanks for the input.
