If you were to out three marineland reef leds on a nano cube would that be enough to substain coral growth? I think they're nice sleek little lights but I don't see myself using them being they only produce 1w per led.

What's the tank depth? I still don't trust them and you can get better alternatives for about the same price

Its a 24 jbj. I know that, I'm just wondering if it's possible.

I've seen the specs and the claimed par reading and I'm sure someone's been able to make them work, but I wouldn't put my money down on them, like I said there's better alternatives for the money, I assume your getting a good deal on them?

I am using these marineland single LED bright on a ten gal. frag tank at the moment until I can get my money saved up for the better ones. My corals love them. Of course a 10gal is not has deep as a 24 gal.. This set also has the moon lights on them. Again like I said these are temp. until I get the others and I will keep them to use as backup lights incase something happens down the line. Petsamart has them on sale right now and then I got a $5 off manf. coupon that was attached to the box. So I got a good deal. This is just my opinon. Good luck.

Not to mention there's only 1 power cord so you can't have moon lights on a timer, unless your okay with switching the moon lights on and off every morning and night.

I was curious as too if you ended up getting them or not :)

Well I may be funny this way but I don't think it is up to me or you to out anyone. That should be a choice they make. heheheheheh :wow2:

Jeremy, I have a Current USA Nano LED retrofit kit in the shop that would work. It's expandable too. It comes with 2 LED strips, and a third can be added to the same transformer.

I have the marineland over my tank because my lights went out and have had them over my tank for about a week. They have sustained my Hammer coral but it is way too dim for my liking. I am getting my LEDs today and should be up and running with better lights tomorrow.

Three of them will do softies most lps and some low light sps like birdsnests and montis but the color isn't that great and why waste your money when you can get a much better fixture for pretty close to the same price
